Could be only short term financial gain, there are no guarantees that he'll get a regular start

I just can't see how it's a good career move right now

I also can't understand why the Barcodes would pay 1.5m+ for a player that could be available on a free in a few months
It's not like they are struggling right now
And they do like to whinge up there and he doesn't respond to well to any crowd hostility

And on that note I also can't understand why a minority of our supporters have frequently given Beckford stick
The same people I suspect that destroyed Kandols confidence a couple of seasons back

Jermaine Beckford is an idiot(typical of todays footballers).Any agent worth is salt puts the players playing career before money, unfortunately most agents don`t.

Yup most agents seem to go for short term gain

offer now reported to be in excess of £2million quid according to RA on waccoe, says that comes from the agent?

sounding like good business now to me although i say that through gritted teeth.

£2m is a great deal. Whoever SG brings in I have every confidence he will be the right player for Leeds.

Yeah I have every confidence that if he lets Beckford go he will have a quality replacement lined up
And I suspect we may see at least one more in midfield to add to his options

lads i wouldnt be scared bringing tresor back into the starting line up, he always held the ball up better than beckford for me anyway and i reckon with becchio alongside him and snoddy making runs from midfield he could really do a job especially given we now need to consolidate our lead and not chase results to play catch up?

Agree we have a good line up without Beckford but would still like to see at least a quality attacking midfielder
But really would like to see another striker with pace coming in
And maybe Gradel will be made permanent?

Neil Kilkenny is obviously highly rated by SG given that he changed the pattern of play to fit him in.What we need is to keep Snoddy and Bradley fit and make sure we involve them when attacking. The goals will come in this league if this happens with or without Beckford.
